In response to the devastation in southeast Texas caused by Hurricane Harvey in August 2017, the State of Qatar announced a gift of $30 million for the long-term recovery of the individuals and communities impacted by the storm. The Qatar Harvey Fund was created to administer the gift. The Qatar Harvey Fund serves as a commitment of solidarity between the people of Qatar and the people of Texas.
