$606,956.98 was granted to Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County to repair 27 homes and rebuild one home in Jefferson and Orange Counties damaged during Hurricane Harvey. Initially, Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County planned the disaster response program, Home After Harvey, to help 60 families recover from Hurricane Harvey. That goal was quickly increased to 100, then 150, and now to 200 homes, including those to be repaired and rebuilt by this grant.
Status: This project concluded in March 2020 with 27 home repairs and one home rebuild completed as planned along with an additional seven repairs supported by the gift for a total of 34 home repairs/rebuild completed.
As of May 2020, 100% of funds have been disbursed.
